Summer Reading-Related Friday Night Family Fun Features Dino O'Dell

Popular Kansas City performer Dino O'Dell brings his array of colorful, entertaining characters to Friday Night Family Fun as part of the Kansas City Public Library;s annual Summer Reading Program on Friday, June 6, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.
O'Dell incorporates interactive songs and tall tales in a program that revolves around stars, meteors, and planets, engaging youngsters' curiosity, inspiring laughter, and stirring imagination. This year's Summer Reading Program, running from June 1 to August 2, 2014, features a science theme: Fizz! Boom! Read!
A graduate of the University of California at Santa Cruz, with a degree in music, O'Dell has worked as a professional actor on stage and TV and performed at Kansas City's Spirit Fest and other festivals. He has taught music, drama, language arts, and improvisation for 15 years at preschools, elementary schools, theaters, and churches.
