Two More Hours in the Day? Dan Chiodo Shows How to Find Them With Perfect Timing

There's no shortage of time management systems aimed at busy business executives. But most are so complex that just learning them eats up more time than could possibly be saved.

Former newspaper publisher Dan Chiodo offers an alternative in a discussion of his new book Perfect Timing: Gaining Two Hours in Your Day on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.

Chiodo's system works not only in the deadline-driven environment of publishing but in the larger business world. As a corporate trainer and executive coach he has helped his clients discover the secret of gaining two hours every day.

"Many of us see our day as fighting fires, answering e-mails, and just trying to keep our head above water," Chiodo observes. "Today we have many technological tools to make things simpler, yet we keep allowing our days to be consumed with tasks that are sometimes unnecessary and distractions that prevent us from concentrating and getting quality work done."

As presented in his book Perfect Timing, Chiodo's system provides simple techniques for creating a personal roadmap for time management success.

Chiodo is president of Impact Training & Executive Coaching in Joplin, Missouri. For 20 years he was with the Joplin Globe as general manager, president, and publisher. He is a past chairman of the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce and the Joplin Rotary Club, and has served on the board of the United Way of Southwest Missouri.

Admission is free. A 6 p.m.reception precedes the event. RSVP at or at 816.701.3407.
