Young Voters are Invited to an Evening Of Music, Poetry, and Talk about the Electoral Process

Get registered. Get informed. Get involved.

Young adults are invited to experience a night of music, poetry, and - dare we say it - civic awareness with Rock the Vote on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at 6 p.m. at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.

The evening provides also the opportunity for eligible residents of Kansas City, Missouri, to register to vote (in time to participate in the November election).

This is a non-partisan event aimed at getting teens and young adults involved in the electoral process by providing information, entertainment, and inspiration about voting and civic engagement.

Following the event, the first presidential debate will be shown in the Truman Forum.

This event is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters.

Admission is free. A 6 p.m. reception precedes the event. RSVP online or call 816.701.3407.
