Create a Lasting Tribute at the Library

Are you or is someone you admire a Kansas City Public Library devotee? Have you enjoyed the fascinating public programs and author presentations at the Library? Does your family enjoy Friday Night Family Fun [1] at the Plaza Branch? If so, there’s no better way to express your support and create a lasting tribute than by sponsoring a seat in the Truman Forum Auditorium at the Plaza Branch.

Join the nearly 90 enthusiasts who have already declared their love for the Library by investing in a seat and choosing a message for a plaque on the chair back.

Your sponsorship gift of $500 is recognized with a plate on the back of one seat. Choose from these options for your plaque:

• Your name(s), for example, John Smith or Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
• Favorite book title and author, for example: The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, L. Frank Baum
• Favorite character in a book and the title, for example: Dorothea Brooke, Middlemarch

Tributes

Gifts to the library offer a unique way to honor an anniversary, birthday or other special event in the life of someone you love. An attractive note is sent to the person being honored to inform him or her of your gift. The amount of the gift is kept confidential.

Memorial Gifts

By giving a gift in memory of a family member or friend you affirm the value you place on libraries and lifelong learning and that these values were shared by the individual being honored. If you choose, we will send notice of your gift to a family member or someone else close to the individual being honored. The amount of your gift will be kept confidential.

For Memorial or Tribute gifts, you will receive a letter of acknowledgment and confirmation that notice of your gift has been sent.
