[5] Hollywood depictions of the afterlife range from the pious to the ludicrous. Weirdly enough, Albert Brooks’ [6] comedy Defending Your Life [7] rings truer than most.
[9] I practically bawled looking at the Ice Age art on display in Cave of Forgotten Dreams [10], director Werner Herzog's [11] documentary about France's Chauvet-Pon-d'Arc cave [12]. It is that beautiful and moving.
[14] Warren Beatty's directorial debut, Heaven Can Wait [15], was one of the biggest comedy hits of 1978, thanks to a great cast, fine performances and witty dialogue that helped make the clunky plot go down a whole lot easier.
[17] Long before TV commercials became the preferred way of getting out word about a film, Hollywood relied on movie posters and tag lines to do the job. Here are some great (and in at least one instance, not-so-great) movie tag lines. See if you can match them to the appropriate film.
