Crazy, Stupid, Love [4] is a romantic comedy. But near the end it has a whopper of a reveal. And whether you buy that reveal or regard it as a cheat will pretty much determine how you feel about the movie.

[6] I practically bawled looking at the Ice Age art on display in Cave of Forgotten Dreams [7], director Werner Herzog's [8] documentary about France's Chauvet-Pon-d'Arc cave [9]. It is that beautiful and moving.
[11] How much do we love Tom Hanks [12] and Julia Roberts [13]? Enough that we'll stick with Larry Crowne [14], a romantic comedy so slight that it’s hardly even there.
[16] Ken Russell, who died Nov. 27 at age 84, was the sort of filmmaker who amused audiences and abused audiences in equal measure. He was not a gentlemanly director, he was more like an anarchistic madman. But a weirdly affable one.
[18] The best moment in Water for Elephants [19] has almost nothing to do with its stars. The strong suit of this melodrama is its sense of time and place, namely America in 1931.
