A native of Independence, Missouri, Donna Pitman graduated from the University of Missouri where she majored in journalism and earned a minor in Spanish. Donna began her reporting career on public radio at KBIA-FM in Columbia, Missouri, and later KOMU-TV. She is the co-anchor for "FirstNews" and her reporting can be seen during the KMBC 9 News at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
SYNOPSIS: Tom takes a switching in school for tardiness (an offense exacerbated by his admitting to consorting with Huckleberry Finn) – but this is just a part of his clever scheme to get close to Becky Thatcher. He woos her with some rudimentary drawings that succeed in attracting her attention.
