Kaite Stover is the Library’s Big Read book group facilitator – a natural fit since she is a nationally recognized authority on reading tastes and trends. She is a columnist for Booklist magazine as well as NoveList, and is co-editor of The Readers’ Advisory Handbook (2010).
SYNOPSIS: Tom witnesses Becky steal a glance at the schoolmaster’s anatomy book – and then accidentally tear one of its pages. Though he revels in her anxiety about the punishment when her offense is discovered, Tom takes the blame – and the whipping.
