Is my vote safe?
In this era of electronic voting, that's a valid question. The folks at the Kansas City Board of Election Commissioners address it on Thursday, June 7, 2012, at 3 p.m. at the Plaza Branch of the Kansas City Public Library, 4801 Main St.
They provide a behind-the-scenes look at how votes are kept safe and confidential. Demonstrations illustrate the differences between touch screen and paper ballot machines and the safeguards of each that keep votes secure.
This is one of a series of public forums on elections presented by the KCEB and the Library this spring and summer.
Admission is free. RSVP online [1] or call 816.701.3407.
Co-sponsored by the Kansas City Board of Election Commissioners.
