There are no walk-in locations to pick up Missouri tax forms. If you filed a paper return last year, you should receive paper forms though the mail again this year. If you filed electronically or have not received your forms by now, your two options are to download forms from the Missouri Website or call toll-free 1-800-877-6881.

As more and more people are opting to use online tax preparation and electronic filing for individual income taxes, the federal government has made it easier than ever to link taxpayers to companies who will provide this as a free service to those who meet certain income guidelines.
Internal Revenue Service
The IRS website  has a whole section devoted to what they call Free File . There are links to 15 companies that offer this free service. Be sure to read the Free File FAQs . Be especially sure to always go through the IRS website to link up to a company to take advantage of this free service.

Next Step KC
Next Step KC is a coalition of local businesses and community organizations that support working families in building financial stability. Free income tax preparation is available to taxpayers with income less than $53,000. For additional information about tax preparation days and hours, please call the United Way 2-1-1 or 816-474-5112 after January 1, 2015.
Next Step KC operates almost 20 locations  in the Kansas City metro area where VITA volunteers are available to assist with income tax preparation. Just scroll down the page to find an interactive map giving organization names, locations, and times of assistance.
The AARP Tax-Aid program provides free tax preparation and assistance services to low-and middle-income taxpayers, with special attention to those ages 60 and older. VITA provides tax assistance to those families with incomes of $53,000 annually or less.

Fact Sheet 
Free legal resources are available to help low-income families with tax-related problems from prior years. To qualify, income needs to be below $28,725 for individuals or under $58,875 for a family of four. Assistance can include helping respond to IRS audits, establishing payment plans, and other options.
