Ancestry.com provides access to more than 30,000 databases spanning the 1500s to the 2000s.
HeritageQuest makes available information dating to the 1700s, including U.S. census data from 1790 to 1940, digitized page images from more than 28,000 family histories, Freedman’s Bank Records, and Revolutionary War records.
Sanborn Maps allows users to view historical maps, circa 1867 to 1970, for cities and towns in Missouri and Kansas.
All three databases are available for free to Kansas City Public Library cardholders.
