Kansas City has a legacy of entrepreneurs who are also civic leaders and philanthropists. To learn more, read about the staircase of entrepreneurs [1]. The names of these entrepreneurs, who were chosen based on the results of a community survey, are engraved on the steps leading to the H&R Block Business & Career Center.
Other prominent entrepreneurs are described on the Wall of Honor [2]. For more information about Kansas City history, visit KCHistory.org [3] or come to the Missouri Valley Special Collections [4] Local History and Genealogy on the fifth floor of the Central Library, 14 W. 10th Street.
To read inspiring stories by local individuals, visit Community Voices [5]. They offer advice about school, occupations, and the path to entrepreneurship.
