Healing Voices (2016)

To Your Health: Wellness Cinema
Writer-director PJ Moynihan explores what is commonly viewed as severe mental illness, or psychosis, chronicling three individual cases over a nearly five-year period. “People can and do recover from even the most severe mental health issues,” Moynihan says, “and that is not the message they are getting from their doctors, or from society in general.” The To Your Health: Wellness Cinema series features film screenings followed by a discussion.
