Summer reading isn’t just for kids.
Grab your friends and join us at Vine Street Brewing in the historic 18th and Vine district for the first-ever Summer Reading kickoff party – for adults! Free music, Library swag, and books. Food from The Spot and the Library's 150th-anniversary brew, One for the Books, will be available for purchase.
The first 150 people will receive a complimentary scoop of Betty Rae's lemon poppy seed ginger cake ice cream, a new blend created just for the Library's 150th birthday. Keep an eye out for this flavor at Betty Rae's locations throughout the month of June.
Sign up for the Summer Reading Program and get a free book. Also, win a prize – a pint glass for adults – after you’ve read (or listened to) five books between June 1 and Aug. 15.
Come for the beer and stay for the books!
