The Westport Historical Society Speaker Series seeks to promote and foster public interest in and preserve the significance of local history. Title of Talk: Longview Farm - Biography of a Dream Come True Speaker: Teresa Thornton Mitchell Join us at the Westport Branch Library on Saturday October 10th as we welcome author Teresa Thornton Mitchell. Ms. Mitchell will be presenting and sharing information from her 2011 book Longview Farm: Biography of a Dream Come True. Teresa Thornton Mitchell has lived most of her life in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Missouri and a Master’s Certificate from George Washington University. A former IT project manager for a major telecommunications company, Teresa is currently the president and owner of Param Press. Teresa is on the Board of Directors of the R. A. Long Historical Society. Longview Farm: Biography of a Dream Come True is her first book. Second Saturday Speaker Series, October 12th @ 2:00pm Westport Branch Library, 118 Westport Road Speaker's Reception follows at the Harris Kearney House, 40th & Baltimore
