Antique Victorian wooden bookcase, containing five shelves and two lower drawers. Access to the shelving cabinet is gained by two doors, comprised of glass and wood, that swing outward. Each door contains four panes of glass. The base of the bookcase contains two drawers, each drawer is accessed by two wooden nobs, located to the right and left of each compartment. The bookcase has three locks, one for the shelving compartment and one for each drawer. The exterior of the piece is adorned with simple low relief covering the sides, corners, top and base of the bookcase. Three stylized medallions also adorn the book case, located at the right, left and top of the furniture. The bookcase is topped with crown molding.
