Architects who helped design Kansas City International Airport – Tom Nelson, Bob Berkebile, Vernon Reed, Hanan Kivett – and city aviation director Mark VanLoh hold a round-table discussion about the facility’s creation, years of service, and probable scenarios for replacing the three circular terminals with a new centralized design.

The completion of KCI was instrumental in Kansas City’s coming of age, but concerns about security and efficiency have forced officials to consider renovations or outright reinvention.

Co-sponsored by the Kansas City Architectural Foundation.
