Sunday Cinema: 'Nope'
Something mysterious looms over Haywood Ranch, a dark cloud casting a long shadow over the lives and livelihoods of Otis Haywood (Keith David) and his son OJ (Daniel Kaluuya) as they raise and supply horses to be used in TV and film productions. Tragedy strikes unexpectedly as Otis falls dead, and OJ reunites with his precocious and flamboyant sister Emerald (Keke Palmer). As the siblings attempt to make sense of their father's strange death and struggle to keep the family business alive, competing with the neighboring roadside theme park run by former '90s child actor Ricky "Jupe" Park (Steven Yeun), the mysterious threat looming over Haywood Ranch unfurls into a lethal otherworldly spectacle.
Directed by horror and comedy virtuoso Jordan Peele, Nope is a masterfully crafted sci-fi neo-western spectacular of the highest order that must be seen on the big screen! Please join is in the Durwood Film Vault to experience this once-in-a-lifetime spectacle of cinema.
