Don't worry about the weather. Come walk a mile in the comfort of air conditioning. Participants will follow a walking routine that is modeled after the Leslie Sansone walking DVDs. This class is a gentle paced 1 mile beginner walk program. Participants will increase their heart rate with low impact moves no matter what the weather is like outside.

On the 55th anniversary of the momentous 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, the Library screens an acclaimed documentary about its behind-the-scenes organizer, Brother Outsider: The Life of Bayard Rustin. Rustin’s partner, Walter Naegle, then joins University of Kansas professor Clarence Lang in discussing Rustin’s legacy as an influential but underappreciated civil rights strategist.
