DON’T “FALL OFF” THIS FALL WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE!!

A twelve-week weight-loss competition sponsored by the Kansas City Public Library Westport Branch and conducted by NickiFit LLC. The challenge will begin on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 and end on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Challenge participants will meet weekly at 6:00 PM at the Westport Branch Kansas City Public Library 118 Westport Rd Kansas City, MO 64111. Registration is required!! Online registration opens July 27, 2018 at www.nickifit.com. Those who pre-register online will be the first to weigh-in on August 1, 2018. Registration closes August 22, 2018. Paper registration is available at Kansas City Public Library Westport Branch. Prizes will be awarded to the top three individuals to lose the largest percentage of weight.

This 12-week course meets every Wednesday night from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Central Library. It is designed to help develop the language skills necessary to pass the USCIS naturalization test. Students will be taught the vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation found on the N-400 form and the 100 civics questions. The next round of English for Citizenship begins on August 29th.

Central Cinema Nights is a new movie night at the Central Library taking place every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.  Join us as we watch and discuss documentaries and feature films in a socially conscious setting, chosen to fit a monthly theme. This month's theme: Women in ACTION!
