The Deer Hunter (1978)
The Vietnam War has provided fertile ground for filmmakers for more than 50 years. Amid the fall 2017 Big Read KC, the Kansas City Public Library screens four of the most important big-screen studies of the war and its impact on American society as judged by filmmaker, screenwriter, and University of Missouri-Kansas City associate professor Mitch Brian. All are shown in the Central Library’s lower-level Stanley H. Durwood Film Vault.
This title is Rated R and is recommended for adult audiences only.
