David Donovan, Ph.D.
This conversation will cover adult themes, and is recommended for adult audiences only.
Considered a classic of children's literature, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland also offers an engaging reading experience for adults. Many of those comic and nonsensical characters that made us laugh and inspired us to keep reading when we were younger suggest a hidden depth when revisited later in life. This program helps adult readers explore Wonderland through a different lens, as psychologist David Donovan, Ph.D., of the Greater Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute, discusses how Wonderland relates to dream symbolism and concepts of self-identity which are important to psychoanalytic theory.
