(Kansas City, Missouri) - Start with a little magic. Throw in a night of infectious, interactive singing and dancing. Finish with a beloved, big-screen story about a crew of baseball-playing neighborhood pals.

The Library offers an array of Friday Night Family Fun events in March, all at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St.

Appropriate for all ages.

Peanut Butter Hamster on Friday, March 20, at 6:30 p.m.
You don't just sit and watch Terry and Melissa Wright perform. They make you a part of an interactive show - singing, dancing, laughing, having more fun than humans young or old should be allowed. Appropriate for all ages.

Every Game Has a Story: The Sandlot on Friday, March 27.
The 1993 film is a small treasure, a sweet and funny coming-of-age story about friendship and fitting in, about kids and baseball and a beast of a dog (actually called The Beast) on the other side of the fence. The event, in partnership with the Kansas City Film Festival, opens with a brief discussion about the art of storytelling at 6:10 p.m., followed by a screening of the movie at 6:30. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
