In places like Silicon Valley and Boulder, Colorado, being innovative and entrepreneurial is a part of regional identity. Kansas City has its own burgeoning entrepreneurial environment; what will it take for the city to build its own reputation and culture?
Adam Arredondo, executive director of the KC Startup Foundation, and Maria Meyers, executive director of the UMKC Innovation Center and founder of SourceLink, offer insight into the exciting environment in KC and engage attendees in generating new ideas about how the city can establish itself as a hotbed for entrepreneurship. The event precedes the closing of the three-week Library exhibit UpStart on Thursday, December 5.
A networking reception is held before the presentation, and attendees can browse the exhibit at the Central Library. The event and exhibit are made possible with support from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.
