the ripple, the wave that carried me home

Presented By
Kansas City Repertory Theatre

The Kansas City Repertory Theatre offers the second of two free Library performances of the ripple, the wave that carried me home, a moving and powerful exploration of a family’s response to injustice and a daughter’s reckoning with her political inheritance.

Part of the 2023 KC Rep for All community tour, the production follows the same script as seen on the Rep’s main stages – restaged and reimagined to be shown to audiences where they live. Written by Tony Award nominee Christina Anderson, a native of Kansas City, Kansas, and directed by Khanisha Foster, the play also is performed Tuesday, April 11, at the downtown Central Library, 14 W. 10th St.

The KC Rep for All community tour is supported by H&R Block; the Richard J. Stern Foundation for the Arts, Commerce Bank trustee; and the Copaken Family Fund. It is produced in partnership with the Missouri Humanities Council with support from the Missouri Humanities Trust Fund and the National Endowment for the Arts
