From ancient times to today, people have loved nothing more than to listen to a well-told story, a tall tale, a good yarn. Indeed, the spirit of the bards of old continues to thrive. Accordingly, some of the world’s best professional narrators put a focus on the inimitable sound of Shakespeare, reading selected scenes from one of his plays in a special event coinciding with the fourth annual HEAR Now Festival in Kansas City. Participants include Dion Graham, who has played state’s attorney Rupert Bond on HBO’s The Wire. Co-presented by the National Audio Theatre Festivals.
