Kansas City Public Library is looking for two engaging, customer focused people to bring enthusiasm for service to all ages at its Westport and Ruiz branches. This position serves as a primary contact point for customers using the Library, ensuring a positive customer experience by determining customer needs, analyzing and solving problems, and directing customers to appropriate resources.

Kansas City Public Library is recruiting a part time aide for our Plaza Location. The duties of this position include sorting and accurately shelving Library materials; maintaining the general order and appearance of the Library by straightening shelves and clearing tables; and retrieving Library materials for staff and customers. Requirements include the ability to follow oral and written instructions; attention to detail and ability to perform duties with high level of accuracy; a demonstrated ability to learn Library operations and the Dewey Decimal System; and basic computer skills.

The Kansas City Public Library is looking to fill a Temporary Sr. LTA position for an engaging, customer-focused person to bring quality services to our senior population. This assignment begins Janurary 2017 and will likely last until July 2017. Under general supervision of Outreach Senior Services Associate, this position will assit with the delivery of the Library’s Outreach Senior Services (Lobby Stops, Home Bound Books, and deposit collections) to community agencies and to individual customers through our Outreach Senior Services division.

Kansas City Public Library is seeking an energetic and creative Teen Services Librarian. Reporting to the Director of Youth & Family Engagement, this librarian will have a home base at the Plaza Branch.

Kansas City Public Library is seeking an energetic and creative Youth Services Librarian. Reporting to the Director of Youth & Family Engagement, this librarian will have a home base at the Bluford Branch.
