Kansas City Public Library is looking for an engaging, customer focused person to bring enthusiasm for service to all ages at its Trails West and Sugar Creek branches. This position serves as a primary contact point for customers using the Library, ensuring a positive customer experience by determining customer needs, analyzing and solving problems, and directing customers to appropriate resources.

Kansas City Public Library is looking for an engaging, customer focused Teen Associate to provide enthusiastic service at its Waldo Branch. This position ensures a positive customer experience by providing one on one service to teens and other patrons. The position also provides programming for teens, such as book discussions, special interest events, and library experiences relevant to the needs of the community. Preferred qualifications include previous library experience, experience working with teens, and basic computer skills. Full time: $16.31/hour plus excellent benefits.

The Kansas City Public Library seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to perform general maintenance of physical plants, equipment, and grounds at its ten locations. Duties include the repair and installation of electrical equipment, plumbing building equipment, and HVAC. Duties also include painting, locksmith responsibilities, carpentry and other interior and exterior maintenance. Minimum qualifications include High school diploma or GED, substantial maintenance experience including electrical, plumbing and carpentry, and the ability to read blueprints and instructional guides.

The ILS System Administrator reports to the Director of Information Systems and is responsible for managing the Library’s Integrated Library Software (ILS) database and organizing the support and functional requirements for the Kansas City Library Service Program (KC-LSP).

The Kansas City Public Library is looking to hire its first ever Health & Wellness Librarian. While working with staff across the 10 Kansas City Public Library locations, this position will determine the health and wellness needs of our community while functioning as the Library’s expert in health and wellness resources and initiatives. This position will be responsible community engagement, programming, and securing funding for identified community needs. The successful candidate will report to the Community Reference Manager.
