True Light Volunteer Coordinator AmeriCorps VISTA
True Light Family Resource Center (TRFRC) serves individuals and families by providing for critical needs, connecting to community resources, and teaching job and life skills in a safe and supportive environment. TLFRC continues to evolve programs to meet the needs of at-risk individuals in the urban community who are multi-ethnic, homeless, hungry, addicted or without hope. TLFRC stands as a strong partner for community change.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Become acquainted with the overall work of the agency and the clients served
- Formulate an action plan to increase number of volunteers
- Teach identified staff the basis of volunteer recruitment systems that have been deployed
- Engage in ongoing professional development during 5% of your time as a VISTA
Requirements
Eligibility Requirements for AmeriCorps VISTA:
- Be 18 years or older.
- Pass a national service criminal history check.
- Hold one of the following statuses: US Citizen, LPR, refugee, asylee, DACA, or TPS.
