In partnership with the UMKC Department of Art and Art History as well as The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, the Kansas City Public Library hosts its first installment in an occasional program series called Cultural Surveillance.
Sculptor and printmaker John Newman leads a slide show presentation focusing on his most recent sculptures on Thursday, September 11, at 6:30 p.m. at the Truman Forum at the Plaza Branch, 4801 Main St. Newman will be artist-in-residence from September 8 through September 18 at the Lawrence Lithography Studio, located in Kansas City’s Crossroads District.
