The Congress

This poster presents the United States Capitol Building dome at sunset bathing the building in warm light that causes it to glow. An architectural cutaway superimposes half of the original photograph of the building, revealing its interior design and structural elements. A third layer of the graphic lines a row of six notable Congressional Representatives from various eras along the bottom of the building, of whom is George Henry White (1852-1918) and Jeannette Rankin (1880-1973). Altogether, the image is captioned "The Congress" with the tagline "The History and Promise of Representative Government" below it.
