Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and experience working in a library or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary: $16.31/hour.

Kansas City Public Library is looking for an engaging, customer focused Youth Services Associate to provide enthusiastic service at its Bluford Branch. This position ensures a positive customer experience by providing one on one service to teens and other patrons. The position also provides programming for teens, such as book discussions, special interest events, and library experiences relevant to the needs of the community. Preferred qualifications include previous library experience, experience working with teens, and basic computer skills. $16.31/hour.

Reporting to the Director of Information Systems, the Senior Technical Support Specialist is responsible for coordinating smooth implementations of client-side applications in the Library’s hardware and technology environment and supporting educational efforts. The senior specialist consults with server-side staff, advising on client-side application, to develop and implement information systems in the Library’s environment and may be involved in any stage of a project’s lifecycle.

The award-winning Kansas City Public Library is looking for an experienced, engaging professional Librarian to fill its Director of Branch Operations position. This position oversees eight community based branch libraries and supervises seven branch managers. Based at the Library’s administrative headquarters located in Kansas City’s revitalized downtown, the Director of Branch Operations is expected to work a great deal in each branch location. The ideal candidate will have experience working in and managing public library

Under the general supervision of the Youth & Family Engagement Operations Administrator, this grant-funded full-time two-year position will focus on building capacity for a volunteer storytime corps along with participation in other initiatives. This position will work collaboratively with other staff members and partnering organizations. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and extensive knowledge of early child development. Experience working with volunteers in a non-profit setting is desired. This is a two-year, grant-funded position.

The Kansas City Public Library seeks a technical manager for its IT department. The manager supports the IT infrastructure comprised of 250 staff computers, 450 Public Access Computers, and 50 Virtual Machines through an Active Directory 2008 domain. The Systems Manager supervises various IT teams under the organization of the Director of Information Systems to keep critical technology systems running and optimized.
