The Kansas City Public Library (KCPL) is looking to hire a Digital Branch Librarian. This Librarian is the primary point of contact for staff and patrons of KCPL for issues relating to the Library’s suite of digital tools, with emphasis on the primary website, staff intranet and the online catalog. This person facilitates staff engagement with digital properties by managing user accounts, establishing workflows, creating documentation and delivering training. The successful candidate will report to the Digital Branch Manager.

The Kansas City Public Library is looking for a dynamic, engaging, creative, and community focused leader for our newly-renovated Southeast Branch. The Southeast Branch is home to the Kansas City Digital Media Lab; a space which offers a participatory, hands-on experiential learning environment for patrons to increase their skills.

Under the direction of the Customer Services Manager, this full-time Coffee Shop Supervisor will be responsible for marketing and promoting the library’s café. Additionally, is responsible for both front of house (including customer service, procedures, and merchandising) and back of house (including scheduling, staffing levels, orders, and working with outside vendors). Provides outstanding customer service and café products in the Central Library’s new coffee shop.

The Kansas City Public Library seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to perform general maintenance of physical plants, equipment, and grounds at its ten locations. Duties include the repair and installation of electrical equipment, plumbing building equipment, and HVAC. Duties also include painting, locksmith responsibilities, carpentry and other interior and exterior maintenance. Minimum qualifications include High school diploma or GED, substantial maintenance experience including electrical, plumbing and carpentry, and the ability to read blueprints and instructional guides.

The ILS System Administrator reports to the Director of Information Systems and is responsible for managing the Library’s Integrated Library Software (ILS) database and organizing the support and functional requirements for the Kansas City Library Service Program (KC-LSP).
