Spiderman and the Incredible Hulk: Chaos in Kansas City

"Chaos in Kansas City" was the title of a twenty page comic that was a 1982 supplement of The Kansas City Star. This graphic insert promoted clothing lines carried by the Jones Store. Brands such as Farah, Jordache, London Fog, and Lee were advertised. The cover depicts The Amazing Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk and Kraven the Hunter battling it out in front of the historic Jones Store, located in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. The scene also contains 9 bystanders fleeing from this epic fight. This scene is awash with high and low saturated color. Blue, green, yellow, orange and yellow are preeminent in this print. The illustration features Spider-Man swinging in from the left portion of the panel, slinging a web at Kraven the Hunter, as Kraven entangles the Hulk with a net and menaces with his bolas weapon. The background of this graphic story is the Jones Store, which was located at 1201 Main Street Kansas City, Missouri 64105. This landmark is recognizable by the eye catching storefront sign emblazoned with the company's name "JONES" in white lettering. The faces of Spider-Man and The Hulk are located to the left and right of a blue banner, running along the top of the panel, with the publishers name "MARVELĀ® COMICS GROUP".
