Bluford Branch Closed Due to Positive COVID-19 Test

Monday, November 30, 2020

The Lucile H. Bluford Branch (3050 Prospect Ave.) will remain closed until further notice after learning a staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. That staff member worked the week of November 23, 2020. The branch has been closed since Thursday, November 26 for the Thanksgiving break.

While exposure risks are minimized by the Library’s health and safety protocols, including mask and social distancing requirements, all visitors to the Bluford Branch during that time period are being contacted.

All other branch employees also have been alerted, and a cleaning crew will sanitize the space. The Bluford Branch will reopen once the Library can complete contact tracing, complete the cleaning, and ensure adequate staffing.

During the closure, Post Office boxes will remain accessible to the public and the Library will continue to offer Wi-Fi for free outside the building. Kids Café services are suspended at the branch but remain available at the Southeast, Trails West, and Waldo locations.
