The VISTA/RISE Program Coordinator is a grant-funded position charged with implementation of two impactful and growing initiatives, the Library VISTA Project and the RISE program offerings. (1.) The Library VISTA Project: The Kansas City Public Library has been granted the opportunity by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) to serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) intermediary sponsor—The Library VISTA Project. As an intermediary, the Library partners with local organizations serving as AmeriCorps VISTA member host sites.
