This annual screening-and-discussion series continues in February with more psychological studies of films directed by one of the most uniquely stylish and idiosyncratic movie makers of our time, David Lynch.

Nicolas Cage, Laura Dern, and Dianne Ladd star in this dark comedy and thriller revolving around two young lovers trying to escape a parent’s deranged plans to stop them. Post-screening discussion is led by psychoanalyst and psychiatrist Jeremy Burd and Beck Ireland, a member of the governing committee of the Kansas City Film Critics Circle.

Presented in partnership with the Greater Kansas City and Topeka Psychoanalytic Center.
