What if growing old meant writing the novel you’ve always wanted to write, or painting, or singing, or teaching, or traveling to a place you’ve always dreamed of visiting?
In a public conversation with KCUR’s Laura Ziegler, author Harry J. Getzov introduces us to many of the extraordinary senior citizens he interviewed for his new book, gOld, and discusses his ongoing Eldercation project created to promote positive aging. In the book, seniors – including Kansas City’s Len Dawson, Ollie Gates, and Walt Bodine – speak freely of lessons learned and wisdom gained while sharing their feelings about aging.
Getzov wrote much of gOld at the Library’s Plaza Branch.
