Chamber music ensemble Summerfest explores Lester Trimble’s setting of the great English masterwork “Four Fragments from the Canterbury Tales,” with soprano Gwen Coleman Detwiler — a Kansas City native and professor at the University of Cincinnati - College Conservatory of Music. The performance also includes two love songs from English composer Henry Purcell. Summerfest has culturally enriched Kansas City since 1991 through the performance of chamber music in settings that foster interaction between musicians and audience.
