Teen Activities
Kids Café
Kids Café will be available Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Library’s Trails West Branch. Children ages 1-18 and/or their guardians can follow the signs to a designated Library entrance where the meals will be served.

Kids Café will be available Monday through Friday from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the Library’s North-East Branch. Kids will get a nutritional snack that they will eat at the library. For ages 0-18. For more info on KidsCafé and sites throughout the metro, check out the Harvester's website.
Fun Fridays for Teens: Game Day - Canceled

Come play games and bring your friends! There will be video games on Xbox, Nintendo Switch and Wii, card and board games of all kinds, and VR! For ages 12-18.
Ping Pong Fridays
Drop-in to the Central Library teen room from 3-4:45 p.m. on Fridays to play some ping pong with other middle & high schoolers!

Bicycle Club with BikeWalkKC
** Event is at capacity **
Kids learn how to use a bicycle for transportation through weekly bike rides and earn a bike of their very own! This FREE program is an exciting course of 8-9 lessons that combine knowledge of the rules of the road with on-road bike skills. Kids also get hands-on bike maintenance training before taking home bicycles, helmets, locks, and light sets to keep.

Kids Café will be available Monday through Friday at the Library’s Bluford Branch. Children ages 1-18 and/or their guardians can follow the signs to a designated Library entrance where the meals will be individually packed and ready for pickup.
Those who need a place to sit and eat should talk to staff and will be accommodated.
Summer Yoga Session
Joy Monzón will guide 60 minute practice detailing the foundations and essential elements of the path of yoga. With a focus on listening into and moving from the anatomical systems of the body (skeletal, muscular, nervous, respiratory, endocrine), one can expect a welcoming environment that honors individual agency and intuition of one's body, mind and spirit. Each practice is accommodated and adaptable to the needs of each participant regardless of age, size, ability, race, gender or economic status.
