What Your eCard Unlocks
While you gain immediate access to our full range of digital services from the comfort of your own phone or computer, because of the Library's response to the Coronavirus, eCard users can now place holds on 25 items, borrow 25 items and login to our public use computers (available by appointment only).
Contact us at 816.701.3400 or send us an email if you have any questions about eCards or encounter problems signing up.
Already have a Kansas City Public Library card? There's no need to apply for an eCard! If you have a traditional card and live in the Kansas City metro area, you already have access to our digital resources.

My Library Card Account Online
If you have a Library Card, you also have an online account. You can use this account to manage your holds, checkouts, and renewals; to set up a personal profile; to create lists; and to rate and comment on items in the Library's collection. Participation in the catalog's social and sharing features is not mandatory and you can keep your activity private.
If it's your first time logging into the catalog, login with your Library card number (no spaces) and your PIN. Once logged in, you'll be prompted to create a username. You can then login to your catalog account with either your username or your Library card number.
To logout of your account, click on your username in the upper-right corner and select Log Out.
